The table below is a summary of the D8 porting status. Including all contrib modules use by ERPAL. As of May 2017 roughly 62% of the ports are done
. That is 36 ports done and 14 to do. Yayaya :) 45 ports total.

bechtold commentedHey,
sounds good, we will probably port ERPAL Platform but for ERPAL for Service Providers we don't have plans todo so at the moment.
But if you want to contribute feel free to add patches etc.
We postponed the d8 development a little bit though as ERPAL heavily depends on contrib modules. Since we don't want to port all those module ourselves we decided to give it some time and start looking into d8 beginning of next year.
Cheers

francewhoabechtold :) Thanks for your reply. Make sense.
I reached out to all contrib modules use by ERPAL. Using their respective issue queue. Asking if any volunteers would be interested to port those contrib modules to Drupal 8. Same thing, they know that me and the fellows I'm working with would be happy to contribute testing patches, quality assurance, documentation, and agile project management services if needed for all of those contrib modules.

francewhoaHi all :) I'm contributing that table which shows the D8 porting status of contrib modules use by ERPAL. Roughly 40% of the ports are done
. That's 24 ports done and 26 to do. Yayaya :)

francewhoaThat related ticket shows the D8 porting status on the module project page under "Recommended releases" section at https://www.drupal.org/project/erpal
Which invites additional contributors to join the efforts

francewhoaHi all Drupal enthusiasts :) Today I did a major update to that table. Which shows the present D8 porting status. Including all contrib modules use by ERPAL.
All volunteers are still welcome :) Contributions of any types and sizes are welcome. Such as porting contributed modules to Drupal 8, development, testing, quality assurance, documentation. Anyone interested?
francewhoaI updated that same table. To make it easier to read I replace the "active" with red circle images. Also for the 14 remaining contrib modules that needs volunteer love I added direct links to to their respective D8 port page.
francewhoaTo clarify which contrib modules either do not need porting to D8 or have alternative already ported to D8, I simplified that table "Status D8 port" column

a.milkovskyHi all! What is the future of Erpal? :) http://erpal.info/ is not reachable anymore.
I can port AUL to d8 if you still need it :)
francewhoaHi a.milkovsky :)
Many volunteers have expressed interest to both maintain ERPAL Drupal 7, and port ERPAL from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8. Per this ERPAL project page under "Project information" section, Bright Solutions said they are minimally maintaining ERPAL Drupal 7. While at the same time volunteers on Drupal.org are interested to port ERPAL to Drupal 8. As you know this ticket #2606002 is the summary of this effort.
Thanks for flagging this challenge. Today I created this ticket #2995972.
I'm grateful for Bright Solutions' efforts with their website at http://erpal.info I'm assuming they were not aware of this challenge, or maybe they are no longer available to maintain their private website. Speaking for myself, that's one of the reason I prefer to contribute to a community owned website. Such as Drupal.org. Which includes this present forum and ERPAL code. Because it is low risk that Drupal.org would permanently go down. But there is a risk that privately owned websites go permanently down. In turn, valuable efforts and data risk to be lost. Again I'm grateful for Bright Solutions' efforts. And I understand that their present availability might have changed.
Sounds great :) Thanks for your contribution a.milkovsky. Yes the port is still needed. AUL is frequently use by ERPAL. If needed I would be happy to contribute testing and documentation. As you know the AUL port to Drupal 8 tracker ticket is at #2615268. I'll post another comment today in ticket #2615268.
@Francois :) Note to myself. I'm assigning this ticket #2606002 to myself. As primary contact about ERPAL port from Drupal 7 to 8. I'm happy to facilitate volunteers contributions.
I'm happy to contributed the following:
I'm not a developer. So will not contribute port patches.
EDIT: Clarified what is included in my contributions.
@All :) Any additional volunteers interested to contribute to ERPAL port to Drupal 8?

a.milkovsky@Francewhoa, thank you for the explanation. Afaik, it was planned to distribute Erpal on few modules based on https://www.drupal.org/project/erpal_core.
a.milkovskyFYI AUL is a fork of the ACL module. The motivation is described in the module description. Shortly: we had issue with a big amount of files and nodes in Erpal, what produced a long WHERE condition in the SQL query. That's why we invented AUL.
You might want to see if the ACL module fits to the requirements.
Also I am not sure if you are planning to keep files as nodes in the Drupal 8 version of Erpal. If no - the AUL module needs to be modified to support other entities as well, what may be kind of a challenge. In addition a new grants system is in discussion #777578: Add an entity query access API and deprecate hook_query_ENTITY_TYPE_access_alter().
