Elysia has no dependencies with contributed modules, and doesn't need to patch the core: it can be used in minimal Drupal installation with only core modules.

ressaThere are now 10.000 Drupal 8 installations of Ultimate Cron and none for Elysia Cron, so it looks like Ultimate Cron is the preferred cron tool for Drupal 8.

mmjvb commentedWould consider that inappropriate, unless there is a record of not providing additional functionality to core.
Even the more appropriate Closed (Duplicate) would only be considered with a stable release of Ultimate Cron. An abandoned alpha doesn't qualify, in my opinion.
