The 8.3 is for d8.3+, not available yet, but about to be released. According to @zuuperman in project issue queue.

I am already using D8.3 but still with alpha 8.x-1.x rc6. Should I upgrade now or wait?

Suggest to create an issue in the project queue itself. This issue is about the port and should provide this kind of information, but not the place to ask for it.
