About Borealis Suite

Borealis is a suite of modules designed to assist in the implementation and building of semantic HTML5 and responsive projects in Drupal. The first module, Borealis Responsive Images, is an integrated solution for responsive images in Drupal. The second module, Borealis Semantic Blocks, adds a basic, more semantic block template and allows the user to choose more semantic, HTML5 block templates for each block. As more modules are needed, they will be added to this project.

A selection of helper functions that come in handy for various small bits and pieces of your site. Currently contains the following functions:

Render Array Block

Pushes a block onto a supplied render array. Function call is borealis_render_array_block($render_array, $module, $delta). The Render Array will be passed by reference, the module and delta variables are the same you would use to get a block using block_load

AJAX Settings Save

Saves the value of the triggering element to a Drupal variable. Requires the following to be set in your form:

Presentation

This set of modules integrates the Rangy library into Drupal 7.

Three modules are included :

1) Rangy : the core Rangy module defines Rangy types and allows you to enable
them on field instances. This module won't do much by itself and needs a
'reaction' module.

2) Rangy enities : defines fieldable entities. This module is supposed to be
used by 'reaction' modules. Enable it only if another module instruct you to
do so, or if you wish to create a module which is built upon entities.

3) Rangy annotations : a reaction module which depends on Rangy entities to
create an annotation system.

Enables pretty paths for searches with Facet API. You will likely use this module in combination with either Search API or Apache Solr Search Integration.

Functionality overview

• Pretty paths will be generated as "search/url/segment1/segment2/".
• By default, a segment will look like: "<alias>/<value>".
• Custom coder plugins, allow to override the default segment representation.
• The taxonomy coder outputs the id: "<alias>/<term-name>-<term-id>".
• The taxonomy pathauto coder leverages pathauto aliases to create even prettier paths: "<alias>/<term-alias>".
• Pager & breadcrumbs supported.
• Supports the optional Current Search Blocks "current_search" module of Facet API.
