Because Drupal is masterpiece ,, Drupal core is the main solution but when developing with Drupal you often need solutions in your business which this great community provide!
Drupal modules and its powerful api that help to add new libraries and customize other modules behavior to meet the business requirements and client needs, Drupal makes the developer life easier and guarantee maintain projects easily which makes clients happy .
On the other hand as this project has heavily requirements ,, coding with Drupal API was the key .. it eases way missions, goals and everything thing else came around with developing this project .. this is why we chosen Drupal!
Describe the project (goals, requirements and outcome):
Internal portal for the ministry of housing to help employees stay up to date with news and future plans.
Let the employee access the E services provided by all sections and other systems internal and external.
Help employees search for other sections and branches to reach their colleagues.
It was required to only allow ministry employees access and login by the active directory, integrate with human resources system to facilitate dealing with Human resources, reduce time and effort by helping export letters and papers to be pdf using the portal.
The portal phase 1 published and working successfully and we are doing to add new features continuously to make the employees life easier.

Require only logged in users to access the portal logging with their active directory account, export human resources letters in pdf,
Show the employee index search an filter by branches and sections using datatable module.

Workflow for hierarchical organizational requests.
Features module to deploy smoothly and bundling the portal features.
Tab tamer and role delegation modules to prevent user from edit his account details as it comes from the HR system and active directory.
