Minimally maintained

This is an enhancement module for the Media module. The focus is on UX improvements for Media that won't bloat the main module. Currently the additions are:

• Adding tags to media when uploading
• Pulling down title and description information from web based media sources

The module is still in development and more features should be coming soon. Based on the feature requests in the issue queue and my own thoughts I would organize the features for Media Browser Plus into two categories. Functional and organizational.

Functional

• Click and drag to select multiple files
• Selecting multiple files with shift or ctrl
• Searching media
• Contextual links and actions

Organizational

• Hierarchical taxonomy based organization e.g. “folders”
• Uploading or importing a file structure into a taxonomy hierarchy e.g. the directory tree in a zipped upload gets converted into the “folders” taxonomy
• Updating and applying taxonomies read from media files e.g. tags added to images
• Personal and public “folders”
• Shared “folders” either by user or role

Description

This is a simple security module that sub-divides several core permissions to allow for more fine-grained control. In other words, it restricts the powers granted by the core permissions such as 'administer system configuration' and 'administer users.'

It add the following permissions:

'administer themes', (Drupal 6)
'administer role permissions',
'administer roles',
'administer site information',
'administer modules', (Drupal 6)
'access admin by module', (Drupal 6)
'access settings pages', (Drupal 6)
'administer access rules', (Drupal 6)
'administer node settings' (Drupal 6)
'configure
theme' for each installed theme

Hopefully the intended use for most of these is obvious enough. (Permissions removed from the Drupal 7 version have been replaced by equivalent permissions in core.)

An example configuration would be to grant a role 'administer users' and 'administer permissions', but NOT the newly provided 'administer role permissions'. This would allow such users to create new users and assign them existing roles, but not modify the permissions assigned to roles.

Since a main purpose of this module is to remove access provided by core permissions, it would not be unusual to install this module and not assign any of it's permissions at all. Just enable the module, and your Drupal site is more secure.

Link Intelligence (LI) provides multiple methods to facilitate automated and manual linking of related web page content. It is designed with easy plug-and-play defaults for simple install and forget auto-linking, yet is highly configurable to enable advanced linking strategies.

It supports both standard styles of related content linking; transforming keywords in node content into links (content linking) and/or adding links to sidebar lists (displayed via CCK and/or Views). It can generate either style of link automatically or provide suggestions for content authors to quickly find and embed links to relevant content themselves.

Example use-cases

Wiki / glossary - LI can auto link in-content keywords to definitions, wiki pages or other keyword related content.

Related content – LI builds sidebar style links to related content. You can either auto populate the list of links or use the suggestions search and add link feature to quickly and easily build your own list.

Search engine optimization (SEO) - LI can interlink content with a blend of in content and sidebar links to re-enforce important keywords on your website.
