Ultimate League Tool

Project Summary

ULT stands for 'Ultimate League Tool', a suite of custom modules used to simplify the day-to-day management and operations of amateur sport leagues.

The tool (rather ambitiously) attempts to provide solutions for all aspects of a league; including player registration, team roster management, game creation, scheduling, field assignment, standings, online score submissions, and communications tools. For a complete feature list, view this post in the Sports Club (League) Management group on g.d.o.

History

ULT was first developed in the Spring of 2010 to organize and manage the various leagues put on by the 'Regina Ultimate Flying Disc Club' (also known as RUFDC). The module was put into production on the RUFDC website in April, and used to manage two four-tier leagues for both the Spring and Summer seasons ... consisting of over 700 players, almost 50 teams, and 431 games. The code posted here is the second generation rewrite of that original module.

Panels Extras

What is Panels Extras?

Panels Extras is a collection of plugins that extends functionality to the Panels module.

Readability Button

Readability button under the node title

Readability is shutting down on September 30th, 2016. Use of this module is not recommended after then.

Adds a Readability "Read Now | Later" button to individual nodes.

Features:

  • Enable the button on a per-content type basis. Also a permission to show the button on nodes to certain roles.
  • In the module configuration, temporarily add the verification string (the full <meta /> element provided by the Readability web service) without editing your theme. You can disable this after you've verified your domain.
  • Configure whether to show only on the individual node view or also on lists (such as the blog page or taxonomy views).
  • Optional Print, Email, "Send to Kindle" buttons.
  • Modify the colors of the foreground and background. Optional integration with jQuery Colorpicker, though not required to set color.
  • Change the orientation of the button from horizontal to vertical.

Google Docs Viewer module

Very simple drupal module, it adds a formatter for CCK Filefield that can be used to render Google's Document Viewer in an iframe.

Panelizer (obsolete)

Panelizer configuration screen

The Panelizer module allows you to attach Panels to any node in the system.

Block Instances

Block Instances

Blocks instances module allows users to render a block in different places when some conditions are met.

A block instance is a set of conditions that determine which block renders in a specified region. Each block instance can render a single block.

Current Features:

  • Display a block multiple times in different regions - and with different weights.
  • Export the block instances using features.
  • Compatible with boxes.
  • Provide two levels of access to administrate the module allowing to:
    • Restrict the regions where a block can be placed.
    • Restrict who can edit the block instance.
    • Restrict which blocks can be rendered in the site.
    • Restrict which regions are available for blocks.
    • Pass arguments to views blocks.

Although Block Instances works in a similar way to Context, both modules are incompatible to display blocks. This means, you can use Context, but not to render blocks..

Dependencies:

  • Chaos Tools ctools. 6.x branch
