The Drupal PWA module offers a drop-in solution for basic features of a Progressive Web App. If you are looking to enhance an existing website with a few pages of offline content and customize what a visitor sees when they add your site to the homescreen, then the PWA module is a perfect fit for you.
Often the requirements for a PWA can be specific and require extreme customization. If this is the case for you, do not use the PWA module and instead opt for a custom Service Worker.
