The Maxlength module allows you to set the maximum length of any text field and counts down how many characters are left.
Note: Drupal 7 reaches its End of Life on November 28, 2022. As a result, the Drupal 7 version of Maxlength is only receiving critical security fixes. It is strongly encouraged to upgrade to the latest version of Drupal and enjoy the new features and active development of the corresponding version of Maxlength.
