Summary

Soft hyphen allow to make word wrap with a dash. This with some defined language rules and justified text can bring some nice results if it's applied at well suited places.

That is what bring the combination of this module and the Hyphenator.js library which relies on Franklin M. Liangs hyphenation algorithm commonly known from LaTeX and OpenOffice.

What is Hyphenator module

The Hyphenator module allow to tell to which content the hyphenation must be applied on 3 different level settings:

• Hyphenate all: Yes or No
• Node type: Inherit upper level, Yes or No
• Node: Inherit upper level, Yes or No

Those settings can be altered via a UI to be found at Administer > Configuration > Content authoring > Hyphenator.

Hyphenator module work by adding a defined string to the class attribute of the container content node so that Hyphenator.js will do its job to that container.
