Members able to create and edit pages in WYSIWYG

Do Drupal able members to create and edit pages in WYSIWYG mode? I assume this can be done using modules, but I can't find a single module to do that.

Thanks.

Is drupal suitable for this site? comments, forum, related articles etc.

Hi,

I've just started looking at drupal as a possibility for the site i'm working on, and i'm wondering if you could flag up any potential problems straight off without me having to trawl through all of the available modules at this stage.

The site needs to have a "blog" page, a resources page with articles sorted a-z/time added, registered user comments throughout, tag cloud for articles and a forum -

i'm sure drupal would have no problem with this, but ideally i'd like a few other features - highlighted link to the latest blog entry on each page with an image (headshot of the author), and the same for resources (articles) (each has an image associated with it) is the main one.

If linking "related resources (articles)" so they could be flagged up in a side box is possible that would be excellent - even if they were hard coded somehow (the number of articles we are dealing with is not going to be huge - same goes for any of these features..)

Also the possibility of email alerts to blog updates would be very useful..

The mockup for the site is here http://www.sojomedia.com/name/v2 if a visual representation would be helpful. Having the forum as a 2 column layout while the rest of the site is 3 would be desirable..

What Hardware I need

Hello, we are developing a website with Drupal to one Spanish province government. We think that we are going to have around 1 million users.

We would like to know if we need a really powerful Sever, or Drupal can works with diferent servers working in a cluster or something similar.

Also we are thinking to use postgresql, seems to be a better option.

Thanks

Oskar

AUTO DEALER WEB-SITE WITH DRUPAL

may i use drupal cms to create auto dealer website...

where user can register and search automobiles
i just want to know if i can use drupal for this
before i start :)

will install Drupal on a shared hosting env but

I have installed Drupal 6.1 (since I am new to drupal I have decided to start with the latest version) on my localhost (no internet connection) but having lots of problems already. I am not sure whatever I do on my localhost will be compatible with the shared hosting environment I will use. Therefore, I want to install Drupal on the hosting site directly and learn it there (is this a good idea?)

Project posting like site, possible?

Hi,

I've been developing for many years and have some experience in PHP, but I'm trying to decide if I switch from our propietary framework to one one more Open Source solutions. One its under my radar it is Drupal, of course :-)

We have several projects where will use Drupal: corporate sites and directories and I'm pretty sure Drupal will work well in those kind of sites. But the question for this post is to know if Drupal it is the appropiate tool to build more "advanced" sites like ecommerce B2B or similar.

For example, we are running a site like freelanceglobal.com. To save your time exploring site features, will give a brief explanation:
-This is a freelancers hire/project posting site like elance.com, getafreelancer.com
-Its a multilingual site, currently: English, German and Spanish
-Know there are two kind of profiles: sellers and buyers, but we are planning to leave only one sometimes could act as provider others as seller
-If you don't know how this kind of sites works: companies post projects looking for a provider
-Providers make a bid
-A talk between both parts starts in a public and private way, providers or sellers make questions and the other part reply
-Buyer select one provider and project starts
-When project ends we got a comission with a minimun ammount
