My friend is looking for a contentmanagementsystem. The site is getting too big to handle (1000+ .html pages). I was looking for a CMS system, I think drupal is good for this project.
The website is about arabic music, 200+ artists, from 10.. differentcountries. Very huge. I don't know where to start.
I want to setup the website with the drupal and content residing on different machine. One of the reason is that we want setup the site on 4 different server and we can sync the contents. Basically, I want to sync the content and not the Drupal.
I'm trying to pick my CMS. I've worked with Wordpress in the past, but am finding it can't quite do what I want. I have downloaded drupal and installed and have been poking around and reading some of the handbook, but it is less intuitive than Wordpress (to me a least).
So, my question before I get too deep is in it is whether I can build a single-user site with the following attributes using drupal (6.x):
Hi! I'm brand new to this. Thinking about starting a site w/ drupal, but I've got some reservations. One of my biggest problems is that I use many computers during the day. If I download Drupal onto a flash drive, will that work? I'm not sure what I'd be downloading. Is it the interface?
I plan to use drupal for following. I would like to be able to upload files like word and excel to drupal and than create users (name/pass) which when logged in have access to specific files only for them. Or to put it in other way. Create users and managed tham and than upload files and assign which of them can see specific files (probably each user would have files only views to them)
any suggestions?
I have spent the past several weeks learning Joomla, preparing to use it for my website. However, I've run into an issue which seems to make Joomla a bad choice, and I'm now looking for a new CMS. I'd like feedback to see if Drupal has the same problem.
