7.x-3.x branch will start out as a sandbox for new functionality or fixes so they can be tested and then merged back to 7.x-2.x (stable) , this will help us improve the 7.x-2.x branch without too quickly introducing untested code.
If you use the media module version 7.x-2.0-beta8, 7.x-2.0-beta9, 7.x-2.0-beta10 or 7.x-2.0-beta11 for Drupal 7.x, upgrade to 7.x-2.0-beta12 immediately.
