I have been into web development Since 2001 and have had really bad experiences with many Indian Web Hosting companies out of who; the worst ones I will mention below...
This list will be constantly update with
The Companies, their Sales and Tech support executives think that once we get fooled into investing into their services because of their Brand Name (Created entirely because of massive Online and Offline Ad, campaigns and because most of Indians looking out for Indian web-hosting companies have only few brand names in the head thinking that a Server located in India would serve pages and data faster to the Indian visitors they are targeting, actually the lesser known companies are even worse), we are helpless and they know that approaching The Indian Consumer Court is nothing short of additional headache.
This Post is to make it clear all these kind of Bad Indian Web Hosting Companies that we will not take any of their harassment any longer...
You either improve the quality of your services or Shut Shop...
It must all to known to all that they should never even accidentally invest in your pathetic services...
I transfered a site to a customer and removed the auto renewel. Siteground.com later auto renewed under my financial information while I was deployed in Afghanistan.
I know there are already a lot of threads listing decent web hosts for Drupal, but my situation is unusual. I manage a Drupal site (hastac.org) with over 6,000 nodes, almost 5,000 comments, over 8,000 user accounts (though only a few hundred log in during a typical month), and about 20,000 monthly visits. Last summer, we redeveloped our site using Drupal Commons (it was already Drupal 6), and also moved to Acquia's Dev Cloud.
Hello.

Hi,
I have decided to make a setup with 3 servers. One for Drupal 6, Drupal 7 and a DB-server. Are there any recommendations on how to optimize php and apache against Drupal 6 and Drupal 7?
Hello people.
I have a problem i hope you can help me with.
I have been making a website with wamp local server, that means with no password and root as user name when i installed the site.
Now i want to, upload it to my web server.
First af all, i exported the database from the local phpmyadmin as a sql. file.
And i did import that to my webserver.
Then i use my ftp program, to transfer the directory of my localsite, to the directory at my webhost.
