Hello;
I'm looking a hoster not too expensive to host my site with Drupal 7 and using the eRecruiter module that need Apache Solr.
I saw this site (http://www.hostgator.com) but they are too expensive for me.
If someone knows a good hosting supporting Apache Solr and cheaper, I am therefore.
Thank you
I am new in Drupal and had tried to follow all the documentation about installing Drupal on this site. However, the situation is a bit unique, and while I am constantly trying to learn on how to tackle the problem, seems like I met the end of the road. I hope anyone would be able to help me, appreciate it in advance.
I bought a template for Drupal and had a local designer to modify the template to suit my business profile. The designer used his local environment to run the test page, and showed me the screenshot—it looks good. Now he stopped working for some reason, and sent me the whole pack of files for me so I can migrate it to my web hosting server. I used GoDaddy.com.
This is the steps that I did: (1) upload Drupal 7.7 through FTP, (2) setup mysql database in GoDaddy Hosting Center, (3) run www.hostname.com/install.php, follow all instructions, connect to database, done, (4) tested that Drupal is working in root directory (navigate to www.hostname.com and succeed).
I am about to embark on a small project using Drupal 7 and I’m not sure how large of a VPS I need. I plan on having about 35 very small web sites using Drupal and I’m thinking of using the Multisite for this. The web sites are very basic as in simple web presence for local businesses (Home, About us, Photos, Specials, etc.). There might be the odd local business that will want to have more features.
What are the requirements that I would need for this kind of setup? I would also like to be able to upgrade in the future when and if I do expand or the sites do become more complex.
