Translations

New to the translation scene. Trying to use the core modules for localization and translation on my Drupal 6.4 site. Everything works fine up to the point where I try to do content translation on my content type which contains some CCK fields.

Here's what I observe:
1. Hitting the "add translation" link bring up the node editing form and pre-populate with the core data like title, body but it seems to omit all custom fields. Is this the expected behavior? There is no document but look like I can use hook_nodeapi() to poplulate the missing data in the translation form.

Problem with displaying audio file in Arabic template(direction:rtl)..
When i displaying the audio files in English template

displaying like this .But in Arabic template i changed the css direction:rtl

How can i fix this error ..plz help me...

I installed internationalize i18n modules and language icons, enabled these modules;
I also added extra language other than english.

however, I have not idea why the heck going wrong, the language switch block doesn't show up at all. I spent more than 4 hours on this issue. it drove me crazy.

Hi all,
I am a non-english and non multi-language drupal user. When I enable Locale module, the performance sightly decrease. I am considering convert DRUPAL core into my main language. I mean that directly translate t() in PHP to my main language. (I think I will build a module to translate them)

before that I've some questions, hope all can help me.

1. Is that any advantages / disadvantages if I translate in PHP directly.
2. What should I notice while do that.

Hi everyone!

I have installed drupal 6.8, wich is working fine.
Using cpanel I have uploaded two different translations paskages.
I have then added both languages using the administration interface.

I get this error on both: "An error ocurred: /lisboa/?id=&op=do" followed by what seems to be the html code of the home page.

I tried many times and the error persists.

Hints anyone?
