I am new in Drupal CMS.

I have new project with following requirements.

I want to know Drupal will be suitable CMS for this project and plug-in available for this in Drupal.

I want to give user the access to edit a node when it is not yet published, but as soon as it is published he/she cannot edit it. Any suggestions? I used hook_menu_alter but in vain.

We are old school GNU.

Sometimes when its major we sell the styles as has cost so much to develop.

Are all your templates free?

I'm looking for modules that do the following 1) "email your leaders" function. Allowing users to send a standard or customised email to their political representatives. The correct political representative is identified using a zip code / post code search. New email campaigns can be set up fairly easily. 2) a basic petition signing module. Users simply enter a name and email and are then recorded as having signed the petition.

Can someone point me to a module or combination of modules that do the above. Thanks in advance for your help. Alex

I'm a campaigner looking to set up a drupal site with some campaign and advocacy functions. I was wondering if there is a ready made set of modules that will do the following things: email your leaders actions (e.g email you member of parliament / senator etc), petitions, integrations with a CRM (eg CiviCRM). I know that drupal is a very powerful CMS and that all of these functions can be built in drupal - but what I'm looking for is a few modules that I can install and start doing these things quickly. If anyone can recommend modules that do these things that would be very helpful.

We have manipulated the shift scheduler plugin to suits the needs of our client.
However it needs further development.
We have a working example of the rota system that we wish to clone which you can have access to.
I need someone to start on this asap.
