Can we finally put to rest the problem of the forced RSS feed? Will Drupal 6 include the ability to enable/disable RSS syndication?
After all the complaints going back to version 4, I still can't believe it's part of the core without the option to disable. I run a closed, members-only website, and I'd really rather the content not be broadcast over RSS.
I've been looking for articles, tips, HowTos on installing Drupal outside the root directory and other public doc directories. Particularly interested in doing this for a multi-site setup. Unless I blatantly missed this, the documentation only speaks to installing Drupal within the realm of public doc directories, ie. root.
I am looking to replace the non-forum pages that currently exist on pdaphonehome.com with Drupal. I have been playing with it for a week or so and have the basics down on how to create my own content types, and then add all the fields that I want as you'd find in the list here... http://pdaphonehome.com/?page=spec&d=blackjack . What I want to know is if someone can point me to a tutorial on how to present the information in table format like what I have shown.
The idea:
Users of a website should be able to mark articles they like for later review. At every such article should be a button "put on list" and there should be a menu item "review list". There the user should be able to deselect the remembered items, submitting the final list for further processing.
I'm currently looking into using drupal as my new personal website.
The idea is to step up a site that would be:
- my personal blog
- my photography albums
- share my weblinks of interesting stuff
- personal knowledge manager (wiki?)
One of the features I'm looking for is the ability to store a cloned (or saved) version of a webpage.
