I'm about to start a mmorpg news site, with some friends and we are looking into some cms's to use for this purpose.
I'm very intressed in drupal as it seems to be a good modern cms, but also looking into joomla and others.
What i'm intressed in knowing is if drupal can meet our needs for what we would require.
The basic layout of the pages is hopefully going to be something like this:
Frontpage>
News - showing news from subpages
Screenshot Gallery - Showing screenshots form subpages
Game listing - linked to subpages>
Articles/reviews (user submitted, approved by admin/moderator)
Rating (user rating)
User comments
Screenshots / video's

Could this be done without to much stress and setting up time with drupal?
I would rather use my time creating a template and then starting to add games then having to stress over setting things up :)
I'm thinking if Drupal is right for me. I saw many of the pages that should answer that question but didn't find anything related to admin front-end customization. The front-end for administrator is too complex, I'd like to make a light version myself so the admin-users can add content very easilly. Would you know if that is possible (without changing the whole application)? Using hooks?
I am new to Drupal and I manage several sites, one of which is a online lending library. On our current non drupal site there is a shopping cart that allows people to search and select items to check out. They check them out then I get an email and mail the items out to them. I do not need to charge anything, so I only need a shopping cart system that I can disable the money transaction part of the package. It would also be nice if I could send out a reminder to them when the books are due to be checked back in. Are there any modules out there that can accomplish this? Thanks.
A database name is requested, an username... mandatory to use drupal
I'm trying to create a database but without success.
HAs Somebody a soluttion for me ?
I host many small sites and am considering a move to Joomla or Drupal. I had heard that Drupal can host completely different websites on the same server but I have yet to see any info on the truth of this statement or to indicate how it is done.
If you know if it is possible and how to do it, I would really appreciate your feedback.
