.mht file import ?

Hi !

I'm looking at using Drupal to build a site to display information currently in an Excel sheet. I have a few thousand pages of charts and text. I can export these from Excel 2010 as .mht (IE webpage) files. Would it be possible to import these into a searchable gallery in Drupal ?
Once setup, i'd like to be able to make changes to the spreadsheet, then every week export the .mht files again and upload them over the top of the existing ones on the website. Does anyone know if this is possible ? Or have a different solution ?!

Thanks in advance guys!

few questions before installing forum :)

Hey everyone! I am REALLY new to Drupel, for the past few years I have been using proboards, but since stumbling across Drupel I am really considering moving to it :) I just have a few questions that I was hoping someone could help me find a code or a mod I think its called on here for some things?

1. Is there a point system? Or a "money" system? Like for every post you make you earn so many points? And can they also be subtracted by staff members? I have this on my proboards forum for a virtual store set up so people can buy extra powers and add ons for their characters.

Can you recommend any current plugins that wil work with 7.x?

Hi there,

I'm wanting to build a private community site and have subscriptions.
Can you recommend any current plugins that wil work with 7.x?

Thanks

How would you handle this in Drupal?

I'm evaluating CMS products for a customer of mine. The usual Blogs, forums, articles, stories, pages, etc. are all pretty much handled by most CMS's out there. I am a fan of Drupal and the community. However, I need to investigate a really important aspect of the website that is a must-have of the CMS.

The structure(s) I need to build include Stores and Products. There can be many Products, with a Product Classification Hierarchy, and Stores, that need to show the inventory for each Product.

Products would have the following Hierarchy:

Product Type --> Product Category --> Product Sub-Category --> Country of Origin --> Country Region --> Product

Also, I need to be able to load and display Product Inventory by Store/Location. Would you create a content type for these?

I've been investigating how this might be done in Drupal first, then compare it to other CMS's for my evaluation.

My research so far points me to this solution in Drupal:

1) Store Content Type
2) Store-Product Content Type (to hold the Inventory for each product, for each store as in, an intersection table between Store and Product)
3) Product Content Type with multi-taxonomies to handle the Product Type Hierarchy.

There is also the ability to have a further Price Categorization, but these would be a set list (ie. $0 - $9, $10 - $19, $20 - 29, etc.)

A little advice

Hello, relatively new to Drupal, and planning to do a realign on our website pretty soon. Would like to hear some thoughts or advice should I even start with Drupal.

We are a company hosting conferences and events (ipacanada.com). Naturally our website that we have list all courses with outline, speakers list (bios) and a list agenda as such. Our website is getting pretty old and we are looking into realigning the layout and hook it up with a CMS, hopefully to allow more staff to being able to make minor changes to the event contents (e.g. adding speakers or adding biography).

Html with Drupal

So this is going to a strange one. This is for a schools website. I want to use drupal for the main page and default theme, however i also still want to use html files with it. Bascially our students will make a website in html and they will post it on our site. I know its possible. However if I have a post a seperate html file in site1.com's directory i get something like. http://www.site.com/sites/site1.com/htmlfiles.html
