The first time I encountered with a problem on Drupal.
Views Module - changing , for example , fields, is changes are not applied . When configuring fields are not collapsed Rewrite results, Style settings , etc.. (In the legend missing "a" tag)
I suppose that this happened after the installation of the module fancybox . At the time when I discovered the problem, fancybox was "integrated" into the site.
I'm not sure what is to blame fancybox . But it is the only module that was installed recently ( of course, with jquery_update and itself a plugin)
I would like to make a website similar in functionality to ConstantContent dot com, or iWriter, or a similar freelance site.
Main Functions Required:
Users can sign up either as a contractor or a client and create a profile.
The contractor uploads a digital product to the site, fills out a form with some details about their product, the product goes through an editorial review on the back end, it gets added to the database of available products for purchase, and the contractor automatically gets paid a commission when a client purchases their product.
Customers can preview the product before purchasing (with a graphic snapshot representing some of the text in the product, for instance).
Naturally, there's a mess of pages that would need to be included such as article topics for written content, and clients could select a category type and browse through the product previews for that category.
Clients can add special requests for items which are then broadcast to the community of contractors.
Hope I haven't forgotten anything huge; I've tried to be as clear as possible but I'm not a developer.
When I first met with Drupal, I was awfully lost in it's complexity and flexibility.
Although there are plenty examples of how some funtionality is implemented, I would have been very gratefull if I had an full functional demo site (like shipped with Typo3 and the one at http://demo.contao.org/)
I used these before Drupal, and the demo site gave me a head start.
So I am wondering if there are any volunteers to build a full functional demo site with me?
So I have been reading all about the new things in D8. While these don't seeeeem to be things I need, I am curious as to how they fit together. Just want to understand it a bit better.
Having a bit of trouble picturing it.
MySQL -> Drupal -> Backbone.js
So would Drupal sit between the app you make with Backbone or is Backbone part of what Drupal outputs (or both) ???
Can I make a single page app with backbone, and Drupal provides all the things Drupal does like user mangement, Roles, ect..??
I want to start a web site that is like a book exchange website. See http://bookmooch.com/
Can you guys recommend some important Drupal modules? For example, search, admin, security, and possibly surveys.
I am new to Drupal so I don't know if Drupal is a good fit for this type of websites. Will there be a lot of customization or mostly just install Drupal/modules and the website will be good to go?
