Before you start

I m not sure if the latest drupal version is all i need to install.

Things I m considering here are as below
1) Module support
2) Stability
3) Ease of use

I have moved from joomla ..With joomla people normally go for 2.5 stable version as it has wide range of templates plugins available.. Not sure if same thing goes with Drupal too.

I'm looking at making a website like this with drupal: http://www.polarisgo.com/

I'd like to have an easily customizable "top story", followed by a short list of recent blog posts, and then have a "most recent videos" thing at the bottom which connects directly to a YouTube channel.

Any ideas on my options for doing this with Drupal? I think I could work out the customization of blogs and news stories, it's the YouTube channel part with video thumbnails which I'm not so sure about.

Our project is to setup an eshop with ecommerce with customizable product. At this stage all seems ok, as with the module customizable products it seems that we could configure our project as we need.

I have a requirement for a small site which is anticipated to have 100,000 visitors a day initially (after launch at peak interest). After a few months its expected the visitor rate will go down to about 5,000 or less visits a day.

- They will all be anonymous visitors
- Visually boring site will only have a around 10 pages
- a couple of downloadable pdfs
- with a medium form (about 30 questions) to fill in with a couple of file attachments,
- very few images
- half a dozen drupal modules.

There is a desire to make the blogging site structure on the drupal 7 version. Initially, the simplest functional , but ...
In Drupal 7 have the option to create a human readable URLs and use the token, pathauto, transleation I can do URLs type : recept-borwa.html addition to the " mythical " use of url to search engines , to me , in this case it will be easier to escape to samopis (html + include) at high traffic blog. Forgotten the name , but in Drupal to be connected to the module which redirects to duplicate pages ( to a page node/31 me redrektilo on recept-borwa.html).
