Does anybody know of a module (or technique) that will allow each user to customize block visibility, weight and position? Ideally this would be persisted in the users' settings for next login. I was hoping for something similar to the way widgets can be moved on iGoogle.

I am new to Drupal and I would like to create an e-portfolio system where users (students) can create their own e-portfolios.
I was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice on the best way of achieving this or if you know of any online guides which might support me.

A friend of mine and I are having a debate: which is better - Drupal or ASP.NET - for building a website?

He currently manages a website replete with information, along with a store, a "members only" area (complete with member data, registrations and renewals, etc.), and an e-learning system. He cites security and data management, as well as speed, for reasons to choose ASP.NET over PHP (and subsequently Drupal). He laughs at MySQL and generally balks at all things LAMP.

Does anyone know of a list of spammers targeting drupal sites? I have found some signing up that seem to be very active - a quick google of their name returns many serps of all drupal sites. For my part, having a list of known spammer usernames/IPs specific to drupal could make the process identifying them quicker.
