Summer of Code applications: get them in!

UPDATE: The application process has ended. Thank you for all the great applications.

Google is still accepting applications until May 8.

Here is a list of projects which we proposed but either nobody has applied to them, or we feel that there is room for more than one student working on the project. It goes without saying that you have a better chance of making the cut if you apply either for one of these projects or for a project of your own creation.

EXPERTS/NOVICES: Marking Issues As Duplicates - Post A Link!

This is a friendly request / plea of experts and novices alike....
The Drupal forums are huge, in fact MASSIVE!
If you discover that an issue is a duplicate and mark it as such, PLEASE include a link to the active issue.
There is nothing more frustrating than searching for a solution only to find a relevant issue marked as a duplicate, but without a link to the current issue.
Many thanks.

New module: remember me.

New Module: taxonomy_breadcrumb

I've just released the beta version of a new module called taxonomy_breadcrumb. This is a relatively simple module that strives to do one thing well: Create customizable a breadcrumb trail on node pages that follow the taxonomy hierarchy. The module allows an administrator to control what is shown in the breadcrumb trail and where individual breadcrumbs link to (either the normal taxonomy/term pages or node/X pages). This allows for a site to have custom taxonomy pages (at least when a user clicks on a breadcrumb).

Releasing code on Project Opus!

Drupalers Here This!

"We plan to release code from Project back to the community," it's been said many times. Sometimes more directly and usually more discreetly, and we know everyone is tired of hearing it (and not seeing it).

Now that things have settled down, a bit, we've been working on ways to make releasing code easier for us and you, the Drupalite. We hope this will translate into: code being released more quickly, and code being released more smoothly.

What we really need to know is: What do you want?
