Protolize: new web developer directory that lists Drupal

Protolize is a brand-new mini directory, of what one particular web developer feels are the 'essential tools' for the job. Drupal is listed at the top of the page, along with WordPress, and a new app called MODx (calls itself an 'AJAX CMS' - still in beta).

This directory appeared on digg.com today.

Drupal 4.7.0 Release Candidate 4 available

The Drupal team has released the fourth release candidate of Drupal 4.7. Several new critical issues came up since RC3, but were quickly fixed. We also took advantage of the extended development time to get some more last-minute usability improvements in.

Again we invite you to help us test this latest release candidate, so that Drupal 4.7.0 final can be out soon. Drupal 4.7 RC4 can be downloaded at http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/drupal/files/projects/drupal-4.7.0-rc4.tar.gz.

Drupal development open

The code freeze is over! We're accepting new features in the development version of Drupal while the forthcoming Drupal 4.7.0 release is being finalized and maintained parallel to that in the newly created DRUPAL-4-7 branch. That said, bear in mind that the current focus is to release Drupal 4.7.0, and not to add features to the development version.

DrupalCMS.com Hosting Service has been launched

Hey everyone!

This is just a quick announcement to tell everyone that the new DrupalCMS.com Drupal Hosting service is out and available.

http://www.DrupalCMS.com/

We've built the service from scratch on our own XEN deployment engine.

Check it out. We'll put up a more "formal" announcement later this week, but check it out and let us know what you think!
