Sökes: Drupal.se Webmasters

That title is about as much swedish as I will post. This is so that non-swedish members can read this and not feel left out.

To get right to it I have tried to recruit a group for Drupal.se but have failed because I just don't get around enough. Though I am social I am pretty much stuck here in the north of Sweden. I also do not have much time left over to do translations and such. What Drupal.se needs is a group of administrators and moderators that speak swedish natively. So what I am willing to do is to turn the running design and moderation over to a person or group who would be responsible for recruiting others. The domain is hosted at Dreamhost and the unlucky souls that gets this will get access to whatever is necessary. Be aware that Dreamhost is not Windows user friendly.

The farthest I am willing to travel on short notice to talk about this is to Gävle. I can meet with others is in Gothenburg, Sundsvall or Stockholm if given at least weeks notice.

To answer some emails:

  • No, I will not sell or turn the domain over to anyone else.
  • Yes, the domain will be for Drupal and drupal support.
  • Yes, I am willing to discuss any good plans for funding the site. No fantasies please.
  • Yes, the site would have to be in Swedish and English unless you can convince me otherwise.

My long term goal it to bring Drupal into the spotlight of business in Sweden and hopefully create some job opportunities behind this. Sweden has so much potential in the way of adopting a CMS system. So far I have not seen any one open source CMS take the lead. Not many businesses even know about opensource CMS so here's an opportunity for Drupal to take the first wave of awareness in.

Path Checker module (to help identify broken aliases)

Hi!

I have created a module that is aimed to help administrators identify broken aliases. It is basically an alternative to the admin/path report with a couple more features.

It's available here, if anyone wishes to take a look:

List of Files Upgraded by Drupal 4.7.1 Here

I've always thought it would be nice to have a list of files that have been changed in an upgrade, and I'm not sure if it's available somewhere, but since I'm using it myself I thought I would post it for others who are interested: List of Files Changed by Drupal Upgrade. Currently I only have the changes for 4.7.0 - 4.7.1 posted, but I've been keeping track of changes locally since 4.6.0 - so I will post those soon if there's interest.

Drupal Afrikaans - Online again!

Some may have noticed that drupal.co.za was offline for a while. This was due to a LARGE bunch of factors which I described in more detail on the site.

After a lot of help from Chris and Gordon, who finally isolated the problem, we are back online now, and everything seems fine, although I would appreciate it if you provide any feedback if you encounter more problems.

The upgrade to 4.7.1 will take place shortly, though, and minor downtime may be experienced again.
