First of all I know this post is not exactly CONVERTING to Drupal but it's the closest match on the forum categories here and I guess people dealing with converts should definitely know the answer to this.
Hi Everyone..this is my first post. I'm very new to drupal and have been a long time Joomla user. Started to notice many sites were using drupal and after looking into it I loved the amount of add on modules available. My goal in the next few months is to be able to write my own modules for drupal(hopefully its not too difficult).
I've recently discovered Drupal - it's indeed a very good and rather different and complex CMS.
However, I'm trying to migrate the website http://www.bergland.it (PHPWcms) to Drupal. Now since I've been struggling with the Drupal menu system for a while now, i was wondering if you have some advice on how to adopt the same menu-system (a multi-level, expanding menu) in Drupal.
this is most probably the wrong forum but this is the nearest I can find. I've been trying to migrate a D7 site from a dev server to Netregistry hosting basically in a nutshell I can access the first page but after that nothing.
I had to remove the htaccess file as that was causing the site to crash. ive changed the base url and cookies to reflect the Production url I've event commented them out but to no avail I just can get the site to load.
I done some searching on Google and it seems a common problem but I cant find a solution.
I have to do a magazine site where the look is entirely custom. Front page and article page templates are carved in stone (css but you get the idea ...) I've stripped down zen theme Drupal 6 and pasted raw html into blocks. It's coming along but this seems like the wrong approach.
I am going to create a site in Drupal. Part of that site will be my blog. Since I do not have any D6 legacy, I definitely want to use D7. I have a LiveJournal blog, which I would like to import. Ideally, I would like to import log entries and comments, and to create OpenID users in D7 for all my LJ friends, for them to have access to my friends-only entries.
Since LJSync does not work with D7, and there is nothing promising at http://drupal.org/node/982820 (nor any other sources), I am considering various solutions:
