Moving a site from Drupal Gardens to another host.

Hi all,

I don't know if I am posting in the correct spot. If I am not, please, forgive me.

I am kinda new to Drupal. I create a site on Drupal Gardens and I want to move the whole site to another host. I tried several times, but I can't get the site to work on the new host.

Creating a backup (or "exporting a site") is extremely easy on Drupal Gardens. DG produces a compressed file with all the files from the original site as well as the SQL file.

What I really need help with is getting the site onto the new host.

I need help , to know why is that happens :(

Hello Drupal Guys ,
i will go to my subject direct ,
everything works fine on my localhost , but when i uploaded my website to the hosting , its dose not work correctly.
its cannot see my themes and modules which i placed into sites/all/themes or modules.
it just see the the core modules and themes , like garlend and ... etc.

so may i know what is the problem and why that's happens :)

thanks in advance.

Domain Name

How do I get my domain name to appear in the URL of my Drupal site instead of this: http://03444ba.netsolhost.com/drupal1/. Instead of http://03444ba.netsolhost.com/ it should be http://www.mydomainname.com/. I don't know how to fix that. I would appreciated any help/advice. Thank you.

Warning in host: file_put_contents and file_exists(): open_basedir restriction in effect.

Hello everyone,

MySQL error on Drupal site when uploaded to NetworkSolutions host

I have recently attempted to transfer my site from a local host to NetworkSolutions host. I followed a step by step video on LearnByTheDrop.com on moving your Drupal site onto a live server. When I went to my site at thelosc.org is gives me the error message:

Site off-line
The site is currently not available due to technical problems. Please try again later. Thank you for your understanding.

Hosting for site with 20,000+ users

I'm building a site for my company that will have 20,000+ users, most of which will log in at least once a week. They will mostly be blogging and commenting and uploading photos.

I need a hosting solution that can handle tens of thousands of users and photos. Money is not much of an issue. I'd rather have something that stays up all the time rather than something cheap.

After doing some research, it seems like a managed dedicated server would be my best option. Is this correct? Anyone have hosting companies they've been particularly satisfied with?

Thanks!
