I am very new to Drupal so please excuse my, I am sure, obvious question.

I red in some threads that certain companies cannot host Drupal sites. I wonder why. What is the limitation. Currently I use Free Virtual Servers http://www.freevirtualservers.com/.

Anybody knows whether I can use Drupal with them?

So I finally got multisite and all the basics up and running on GoDaddy... only to find out that the GoogleGroups-like site I wanted to create couldn't receive emails due to the fact that GoDaddy doesn't support PHP IMAP (for "security" reasons - yeah right).

i apologize if this has been covered elsewhere in here and i'm repeating an old post. if so just point me in the right direction.
I'm currently hosting my site on hostway.com and i'm super unhappy. thinking of switching over to this solution http://www.mediatemple.net/webhosting/gs/ and wanted to see if anybody has some opinions or past experience. so far i seem to be gettting good feedback from some other searches i've done but i thought this would be a good place to ask around as well.

I am searching for a really good Drupal hoster, who has dedicated managed servers, PHP5 as modul (not CGI) for a big project. It would be cool if the server is in the USA, the price does not matter. I have searched for hours, but didnt found any, who offers PHP5 as modul.
