Any experience with iMountain

Does anybody has any experience with Iron Mountain Hosting? (imountain.com)

They offer clustered shared hosting and VPS at very reasonable prices, and the only negative thing about them I've been able to find is that they possibly are exaggerating the amount of solar power they're using. I was wondering if anybody on here might have had any experience with them, or could say what they think?

One.com or your recommendation for best, most affordable hosting service

Hi there,

I am planning to launch a new website running Drupal. What's the best, most affordable hosting service you would recommend? I am currently considering One.com but would like to hear your suggestions.

Cheers,

Cheap Tucows domain w/ privacy? Canadian email? Hosting?

Been looking around to register some domain names and roll out a site soon.

Any good Tucows domain reseller recommendations? Cheap with full whois privacy. I am about to say fsck it and register with namecheap or something.

Canadian email hosting recommendations? Something cheap with 5-10 mailboxes and pop/imap. I was thinking this may be better than something in the US, although it would be cheaper to use email service that would be included from my yet-to-be-decided hosting provider.

I am looking for web hosting too. Was considering NearlyFreeSpeech with their low cost plans, but they do not have email service. Been looking at other traditional hosting plans too in the range of ~$5/month. If I could find something well connected in Canada to serve all my email and drupal needs that would be ideal.

Ok that is the basics. Read on if you want to learn more about intended use.............

My site is bound to be small and low traffic especially at first. I do want it to be snappy, and be able to handle a slashdotting or digging if I were to ever be so lucky. Instead of pulling the plug like a pussy, it would be nice to have a sys admin who could grin and say "I'm hosting that" without dollar signs in their eyes.

List of hosting companies

Hi,
I've spent the better part of the last couple hours researching this forum to identify some possible hosts for a soon to be released drupal site I have in development. I'm completely excited about the avid community and the principals on which drupal operates and can be utilized (open source). With the freedom open source affords comes varying levels of opinion about what is right or wrong.

Can we get some sanity back in this forum?

I have been noticing an unhealthy trend develop in this forum in the past few months.

One trend is flooding the forum with posts about a particular hosting company or the other, vying for eyeballs from visitors, and bumping up the post several times a day.

The other trend is the adversarial attitude where someone consistently tries to malign hosts other than one they endorse, questioning ownership, and other things.

Both trends are unhealthy, and do not convey a positive image for either camp.

Some hoster and traffic questions

Morning to all,

If some one could help me with the following.

1. I am making a small startup on base of Drupal 5. The planned number of visitors in 4-5 months would be around 5000 visitors / day.

2. I am selecting the sitegroud as recommended by Drupal (Banner at drupal.org/hosting).

The questions are:

1. Is there a number of maximum visitors that my drupal site on siteground can accept per day? I mean won't it be like that hosting on siteground will be slow if there will be large number of visitors ?
