Need drupal friendly host with good RAM and generous mysql connection limit - Budget $25/month

OK, I am tired of my hosts frequent downtime as well Maximum mysql connection error and using excess resources problems. So I am looking for some good, established and reliable Drupal friendly host which is fairly generous in RAM usage and Mysql connections.

I don't care much about Diskspace or bandwidth though.

I have a site which will be reaching 250k uniques/month in 3 months time (currently it is 50k uniques/month), so 10 GB disk space and 200 GB BW should be fine for me.

I am looking for hosts in the range of $25/month.

UK Drupal Hosting Advice - Contemplating machinenetworks.co.uk

Hi,

I'm looking at setting up a website using Drupal. Can anyone suggest a good (and if possible well known/respected) hosting provider? Is a shared hosting package sufficient for Drupal to run smoothly?

Can anyone give any information about machinenetworks.co.uk I have been looking at their entry package http://www.machinenetworks.co.uk/webhosting/entry/. They seem to guarantee Drupal will work since you can install it using Fantastico.

Servage autoinstaller

Just to let you know that Servage have updated their autoinstaller to Drupal 5.7, I've used servage for the past 12 months and have not experienced any major issues (although I have seen posts from others saying otherwise). The autoinstaller installs drupal into your hosted webspace, creates and configures the database. All in a few seconds.

Beware of HostGator

I was unable to get Clean URLs working on HostGator. After trying a number of suggestions that I found across the Drupal and HostGator forums, I was unable to get it working. So I opened up a ticket with HostGator and got this response:

Dan,

You would need to get drupal to assist you with this 3rdparty application.

So, I decided to cancel my account through this form HostGator Cancel Form

I then got an email which asked me to verify my email address (ha!) and was redirected to this form: tickets.hostgator.com But they did not give me a password. Trying the password for my site brought on this message: "Password incorrect. Your password has been emailed to you."

The email that came:
