Hosting support

which host support a lot of php memory limit. Cheap.
I need around 128M, and it cannot cost more then $15-20 a month. Is there any out there?

I developed my site using WinXP.

I'm looking for a good host - but, do I go for Windows hosting or Linux hosting?

If I go for Linux hosting, will my site [that is developed on WinXP] work on Linux host? Some hosts claim that Drupal installation scripts - what does that mean?

So I'm on dreamhost at the moment with a year and a half to go and am really wanting to bail on it for my drupal based site. I'm pretty sure I'm heading for Acquia Gardens when it materializes, but need a stronger solution until that point. I've got the hardware and relative Ubuntu knowledge to pull off a home server which I think would cover my 1000 daily visitors. I have a feeling that a hosted VPS solution will probably give me the same hassle that a home setup would, and the price will be equivalent, while I'll have much more hardware firepower than I could with any hosted VPS.

Hi all, a newbie here and to Drupal in general. We're a very small non-profit scrambling to find a new host since our current host notified us of imminent shutdown. One host that's been suggested is Mediatemple.

Evaluation forums aren't painting such a great picture of their capacity to support script-based programs at this time. We need a dependable host, as we run some minor e-commerce off the site through a payment gateway.

Any thoughts?

The problem is that there is a huge whitespace above the profile and i have no CLUE what is causing it.
