Hosting support

We are looking for a non US based hosting company for various Drupal based sites.

Due to T&C (tax rules mainly) by sites such as Commission Junction we need to avoid US hosts.

I have looked at the [[/hosting|hosting]] list and searched Google etc to find more info about some of them. Mainly when it comes to performance, support and so on.

It seems to be pretty common that many hosting companies have a bottleneck when it comes to database servers so I would be very grateful for any feedback on that issue.

I created my site using drupal. I registered a domain name recently(host supports both php and mysql).
Now my problem is how to make my site come online ?? I mean what should i do now so that the site on my system gets when my domain name is typed in the browser. Is it simply enough if we just upload the whole drupal folder to the File manager provided by hoster?? plz help.

I recently registered a domain name ( http://chinmayareddy.hyperphp.com ). Then i uploaded the whole drupal folder to the sites FIle manager which i was given to use. what should i do to launch the site. If u just visit the site i 've given above u'll understand the problem. Thanx

I am about to launch my newly designed classified site and would like to know if there is anyway I can determine before the launch how much traffic my site can hold before crashing. It is a free classifieds and forums site and I intend to do a lot of marketing so I am expecting quite some traffic.

I'm trying to deploy my site from WAMP to my hosting provider HostMonster. I have transferred the database and ftp'd the files not to mention changing the $db_url in my settings.php file. The error that I am receiving is:

I'm working on an educational social networking site for a non-profit organization. Unfortunately the site is growing beyond was is reasonable for a shared hosting environment so we're looking for a reliable and affordable managed dedicated hosting provider.

What providers are others in the community using for managed dedicated hosting?
