Update translation templates for HEAD

AFAICT the translation templates in contributions/translations/drupal-pot are around 4 months old.

I have just generated templates from my latest HEAD checkout. Can I just add these to CVS or should I wait and regenerate the templates sometime after the code freeze? (I am currently working on updating the Danish translation of HEAD -- there are a lot of changes between 4.6.x and the current HEAD.)

Drupal in Hindi

I am interested in creating Hindi PO files for Drupal.
I read a lot on transaltion. downloaded the required software like gettext and PO files.
But do not know where to go from there......... I have hindi fonts installed.
Anything else I am missing?

How to "explode" one *.po file to module specific *.pot files

I’m currently working on a portable object (*.po) file – I’m doing it this because I found to be much faster to me, rather than working on the individual smaller *.pot files.

My question now is; how do I create the drupal’s pot folder with all the module-specific portable object template files from this unique portable object file.

Thanks

p.s. I've read the read-me text and tried searching within this site for an answer. So, sorry if this has already been answered.... many times :)

new language

I want to start translation of Drupal to Persian/Farsi. First of all I wonder if there is already a trasnlation to this language or ohter Right-to-left language? Second I need the steps for this to be done and imported to the drupal site

Dutch translation - Nieuwe commentaar?

Although I'm from the Netherlands, I was born in the Frisian-speaking part of the country, so I sometimes I use expressions and words not actually present in Dutch... This makes me uneasy sometimes; so I thought why not just ask ;-)

I'm happily using the dutch translation for 4.6 on my site, but I was a little taken aback with the string 'yyy nieuwe commentaar nnn'. I changed it to 'yyy nieuw commentaar nnn' on my site (the last e missing). 'Nieuwe commentaar' sounds very... belgian ;-)

German translation: Typographically correct quotation marks

Hello,

I would like to suggest using typographically correct quotation marks in the German translation:

The " character means Inch and is not a quotation mark. The correct German quotation marks are „Wort“.
Alternatively we could also use the inverted French style: »Wort«.

And if one day someone doesn't want these anymore, it is quite easy to replace all occurrences of these characters with the inch " character.

Regards,
timcn
