KBabel & Spelling checker

I use Kbabel, as it came with Suse 9.2. I am not perfect in any language, so I would like to run a spelling check on my translations. I tried to do it with Ispell as it is the build facility of KBabel. I run into problems. Although I set the language to Spanish, it won't change to that language and it does not recognize the special characters as part of the word. Then after some time a window comes up with the message:

Hi there, SimpleNews Translation Dutch

Understanding extractor.php

I just started using the extractor tool, to translate some modules of the E-commerce pack. When I run extractor on the store subdirectory for both *.inc and *.module files, the result is tree files:

general.pot
--store-inc.pot
--store-module.pot

Can somebody explain if there is a special meaning when the files are prefixed with the double minus like this?
