Translations

Is it somehow possible to import a language-file and only update the existing strings, new once should NOT be added?

I have downloaded one translation file I found on the web, but when I import it to my Drupal site and clic on "translate all", I just get a sad 66%... :(

What can I do? How can I get a complete translation? Do u know?

I'm building a multi-language website. In the localization settings I checked Nederlands (Dutch) as default but the website keeps starting up in English.

Hi all,
After testing Drupal 4.6.8, I decided to install - from the strecth - the drupal 4.7.4 but now i'm having problems with installing the translations.
I follow the same process of 4.6.8 (same server, same domain) but I got this problem:

The translation import failed, because the file could not be read.
The translation import of failed.

What's happen?

I'm currently translating Drupal to norwegian. While installing and removing several modules there are now a lot of unused "language-tags" in the .pot file. Is there a way to "sync" or clean it up? Sorry about my bad english, but I hope you understand what I mean... ^^

I am a new collaborator in Drupal planning to help its development by translating it into Spanish. I would like to know what the urgent CVS that require to be translated into Spanish and where can I find them.
