Translations

Hi all,

being my first post here, be patient if has already been discussed or is in the wrong place :)

I've downloaded and installed "Album Photos" and "DFGallery" on my drupal site, and I would like to give my users the choice of their preferred language... maybe I am missing something, but I don't see any option about this in the admin panel; what should I do?

I got a question if it is possible that if you have multiple sites on a single drupal installation. The translation can differ for every website. most modules will be shared by the different websites and some module will be custom for a website

If the answer is yes, can this just be done by the awsom translation interface drupal has?

I just downloaded the Dutch translation file nl-6.x-1.5.tar.gz ,

but I don't know where to place it in my web directory ????????

I've got a multi-language site working with the Garland theme, but when I attempt to use a different theme, my language links break. They just don't include the language code in the link. Obviously the theme is interfering with the links generated, but I'm new to themes, and not sure where to look to fix it.

I am trying to trouble-shoot why some of a site is showing translated strings and other parts of it are not.

Therefore I would really appreciate someone describing what happens when you import a .po file to your site.

Where does it get stored? drupal_files table?

How does it get used? Dissected and sent to locales_source table as a BLOB? If so where can you see each BLOB contents?

What are your suggestions for trouble-shooting strings that aren't showing as translated?
