Problem with default languages and View page as a menu item

This is a bit complicate to explain. I will try to keep it simple.

  • I have a multilingual site with EN, DE, ZH-HANS.
  • My default language for the site is DE.
  • The default for the admin site is EN (I find some of the German translations awful, and the fact that the menu order changes is too confusing).
  • I have a View with a Page display, configured to appear in the primary menu.
  • When I search, I find 2 instances for the menu text - one for the View module and one for the Menu. I translated both instances through the localization module from German to the other languages.
  • When I look at the strings in the translation interface, they appear correctly with their source being German and the English and Chinese translations present.

Problem: The German menu item display name is shown when the selected site language is EN or DE. It appears correcly in Chinese.

multilingual website

Hello

I've just install D7 that looks very well at the translation interface.
I'm french and I set the default language to English.
I've created my content types in English and I've translated in french the names of my content types and the label of my fields. (idem for taxonomy)
Everything is all-right in the interface, except that when I display my French node, the fields labels and content type names stay English.

Also, when I want to add a content type (interface in French), labels and names of content type are in English.

What is the problem?

Exposed filter and multilingual

Hi,

I have a multi-lingual site which has an overview page (a view) with exposed filters. Now somehow, when a filter is apllied, Drupal forgets the set language and takes the default one.

Any ideas how I can fix this?

Regards!

Multilingual main menu with items and child items not working

I have a problem setting up the main menu for my multilingual website. It should have items, few of them should have child items as well and all of them should appear translated in the selected language.
I can have a main menu with several items perfectly working, but when it comes to the child items, they don't show up in the main menu at all except when the user selects the default language.
Since I haven't found a procedure to follow, I just tried to takle the issue working on 'content' and 'structure' in several ways but I've failed so far.
Can anybody help me?
