What could be the best approach for building a community website with more groups. I have a few ideas but since I am a newbie when it comes to drupal, I need some ideas from you, guys. anyway here are my 2 ideas on how to approach this.

I was wondering what the best way to go about creating a basic e-commerce site for clothing, where each item has a size option.
For payment, no pay-pal or anything is required, instead they would like to provide the user with instructions for a direct bank transfer, and provide them with a unique tracking number the customer must provide in the bank transfer description.

Is it possible, and what modules could I use to create a site similar to http://www.chickipedia.com or http://www.imdb.com where users can submit content like a wiki, but have it set to a pre-built structure.

So basically, I want to create a site similar to wikipedia, but with other custom forms
