The right module

Hi. I want a module for the following purpose.

People should get a personal page like on twitter when they join up.say if my website is www.example.com and their user name is test then they must get a page www.example.com/test

People should be able to update articles pics videos only on their page test. They should not be able to create any other pages.

Can you guys reccomend me modules

I want to create a website similar to this
http://animea.net/

It's basically an anime streaming website where users are able to submit their own links and videos from veoh, youtube, megavideo, etc.

Any recommendation is appreciated!

Drupal for Gaming/Social Networking Portal

Hi all.
As a noob to Drupal the forums seem the right place for me to start out...

I am a PHP developer, having good knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript/Ajax, working on a Gaming/SN Portal and am contemplating on using Drupal as a base for the same.
I'll be providing my requirements and would be grateful if any one could guide me as to how I could go about accomplishing them using Drupal.

The portal would be a Casual Gaming portal with elements of Social Networking in it.
The games would be categorized according to genres such as Action/Arcade/Racing etc.
Users could register and have their scores persisted over time, take part in Challenges/Tournaments, display their scores/badges etc.

The following are the main sets of pages that I am interested in:

User Profile : Could be customized to a small extent by the User (basic CSS)

  • User Avatar
  • Display Rank/Badges/Scores
  • Private Messages Inbox
  • Blog of his own
  • Favourite Games
  • Friend List
  • Friends' Activity Feeds

Games : Would contain list of all games classified according to genre

  • New games in the category selected
  • Top played games in the category selected
  • Highest Rated games in the category selected

Game Play Arena : Would be styled accoring to the game's genre

Drupal + Forum ingtegration?

I want to setup a full featured forum like phpbb to work with durpal, but I was wondering how closely integrated the two are? Is there something to allow them to share logins and to allow drupal to completely wrap around the forum as opposed to making the drupal theme match the forum theme? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Diego M.

Drupal is very good... but...

Hi,

Sorry the bad English.

I have tried Drupal and i have to say is very, very good, lot of possibilities but i have a big problem.

I´m a Webdesigner and drupal is not built for webdesigners... i have lot´s of difficulty with the themes engine and all around, to you (programmers) it´s easy but to me is not. I will explain.

Pulling information from another database

I've used Drupal for a while now and am currently using it to build a site for our company. We are a retailer with several locations. Our point of sale system is quite robust, every transaction that happens in one of our stores is saved to our database of course and one of the fields that we ask for when adding a new customer is 'email'.
