I'm starting to look into Drupal for a new site I'm creating. I wanted to get feedback from more experienced people to see if what I want to do is feasible, and if any work has already been done that could save me time.
My site is going to contain my own fiction writing. I'd like the following functionality at a minimum:
- Tags that users can use. So, if someone wants to find all posts with a character in a specific location, they could just select "Henry Case" and "Dive Bar" and bring up all stories with these tags.
I would like to create a collaborative website, "kinda urbandictionary".
Like in urbandictionary, users submit definitions on the website for words --
words can have more than one definition -- the submitted entry must be approved
to be published by an editor through an administrative interface. Any visitor
can vote up or down on an entry or submit a new entry for that word and can comment a definition as well.
The site would get a glossary plugin and tags that would ease users to navigate though the site.
Sorry if this is off topic, but it seemed even more off topic in other forums and I really don't know where else to ask.
Years ago I had another account here at Drupal.org. I remember that when I posted a forum topic at Drupal.org I could get automatic email notification of every reply to that topic. Now this option seems vanished. Is it really so? How can I tell drupal.org to let me know of new posts in mine, or any other topic? It would make
it more efficient to use the forums for support.
