I'd like to ask which Drupal version to use for following tasks. (I have seen that some module work only with y certain drupal version - so I don't know with which version to start since I don't know the module which would be find for my project..)
The main task for this website will be an event calendar system. Regular events (up to 10 per day) should be shown on a weekly calendar table. (optional view of day only). These events ca be created by "super-users" with permission to create these event entries.
Hey folks, I have never used a CMS or script I have always hand coded my sites from scracth. I'm find my self with less time now so need something I can up date quickly in comes CMS.
A few key factors for my site which I would like to know is drupal would be good for.
I'm evaluating Drupal for possible use for a sailing club website. The club already has a website that is static HTML.
Some requirements:
Member directory -- need to have a directory of the members (accessible only to authenticated users) including member's address, phone number(s), etc.
Calendars -- need to have multiple calendars (e.g., social, racing, etc.)
Ability to assign members to groups -- need to be able to assign members to groups for the purpose of sending out targeted notifications (e.g., send an email notice to all members that are boat owners excluding those that are not boat owners)
Media gallery -- ability to host photo and video galleries
Integrated forum
Ability to tie email notification to a calendar entry -- club members are assigned to help with running races and it would be killer to be able to send them an email reminder of their upcoming duty
Has anyone pulled together drupal modules to create an email stats web app?
I'd like to create an html newsletter, send it out to a mailing list and then track the click-throughs that people click on the eflyer. Ideally, this would be user specific so I can see that John Smith clicked on the specials link on Monday and the offers link on Wed and Joe Bloggs clicked the downloads link on Tuesday and specials on Wed... I'd also like to see their IP, machine type, IP location... the usual email stats stuff really :-)
