I've been asked to find a CMS for developing a project repository that can contain several projects. Each project should be restricted so only the users that have been added to that project may view its data. In addition, the CMS should allow sharing large files (images, videos). Can Drupal handle this? If not, do you have a better suggestion?
I have just started with my first Web Design using Drupal 7.0.
I have been unable to find any examples that show how to develop a simple Website from start to finish. All the descriptions , as requested in the Howto Document guide, are short and to the point and it is difficult to piece it together.
I would like to write up an article on my trials and tribulations for my first site. Will this be worthwhile, or am I just missing out on my search for examples ?

Hi all, I'm currently using Joomla and looking at possibly changing to Drupal. (due to web hosters unwillingness to update from a very old version)
1. I am a wholesaler. My website showcases our probuducts but my retailers have to login to get pricing and place orders. Is this possible with Drupal?
2. Is it possible to install Drupal onto my PC to play with before using. I am a Linux user but do have access to a Windows PC if that is easier.
Is there any way to get a list of modules available for Drupal 7, along with their current release? I'd like to be able to see modules that are at their first fully stable release, as opposed to alpha or beta. Of course, I believe that the standards are set by the owners, so a major module's "beta" could be more robust than a minor module's full release, due to more testing activity.
Thanks!
So, I'm considering using Drupal for it's content management capabilities but I'm seeing early problems because I need to set up the same 'views' (my terms may be diff from the actual prog) for each organization enrolled. Let's put this the best way ... I want different chapters to only see what their individual chapters are allowed to see; be it calendar, rosters, org files, etc. for their individual chapters and DEFINITELY not any other chapter's information.
I have a few sites hosted on the Rackspace Cloud (CloudServer option) using Drupal. We are having all kinds of site slow downs, sites failing because of too many connections, and issues like that. And the bosses were sold on the cloud being so much better than our standard hosting options.
I'm wondering what are some of the best Drupal cloud hosting options available. Doesn't necessarily need to be cloud-based, but that seems to be the hot topic these days, and I assume for a reason.
