Before you start

Hi,
I want to build a website which has say a million of records insertion every day , will drupal be able to handle these many requests. How many records can drupal handle without any performance issues? Can i integrate my restful api with drupal?

I need to design a platform that provides:

-Personal blogging (blogs that are view able only by them)
-Group blogging (blogs that only people part of a small group (3-4 people) can see the posts and comment)
-Public blogs

Also about the content itself, i would need

-Advanced tagging (common tags amongst all blogs AND tags specific to a blog in addition to the common)
-Search capability -Rich text content with photos media e.tc. on the blog entry
-A database that i could access and create custom applications (most read-only) on the data. Also an API would be helpfull.

an example of a custom application would be to select your blog posts and create an offline file (.zip html e.t.c) and have it stored locally on your machine.

After some research:

-Forum platforms are NOT suitable for this as i would have to create hundreds of sub forums with selective security for each of them. It would make administration almost if not impossible.

-Joomla and joomla-alike cms also give me bad signs as i couldn't have specialized tags per category of articles and i suspect heavy coding in order to do it. Also i don't know if it could satisfy my other above-mentioned needs.

Many solutions follow the logic that a blog is public and allow for some level of security on them, which is not suitable for what i want.

I am totally new to Drupal CMS and to website programming in General.

First I am a "advanced beginner" on php, I understand most functions but needs alot of help from php.net if I will manage a big project like this will be, and it will take alot of time.

So I hope drupal have what I looking for.

The site will have three typs of users
A = Admin
B = Usergroup 1
C = Usergroup 2

I am trying to create a website that would allow users to fill in a form about the product the wish to trade in ie mobile

They will be able to select the brand, condition, etc each adding a price to the quote.

They should then click quote me and then shown a quote.

They can then enter their contact details and will be sent a copy of the quote as well as to my self.

I understand I can use webforms for the form but how would I generate the quote.

Any Soultions or Alternatives to use.

Is this website made on drupal if yes then anyone suggestion theme like this website for me new website
