Well I currently am running postnuke. I have gotten fed up with how bloated it is. I started on developing my own cms but I found I don't have the time. So I decided to check out drupal. So I have a few questions.
Is the drupal core structure good enough to where I can strip out alot and rebuild some of the display functionality?
Does drupal support simple page display. For example I have a page called about.php. Can that display easily or does it have to use some page module.
Do all themes end up looking cookie cut?
This is not a problem but a technical question.
Before setting up the drupal site & database
but right after extracting Drupal 5.1 in /var/www/
when I load the URL /localhost/drupal51/ in my browser
i'm redirected to install.php
i've tried tracing that redirection but can't find it.
where is that redirection performed ?
in index.php or bootstrap.inc or where ?
Thanks.
I'm writing the Help pages/info for our company creating a web application. They're not ready to design their website or commit with regard to a tool to create, but want me to go ahead with writing/designing a help center (along the lines of GMail's Help Center).
They think they're going to implement (get the text onto Webpages in-house) later, but I'm thinking that we don't have to reinvent the wheel and use an open source CMS that has templates for this task. I've heard of Drupal through Pando.
