Before you start

Hi there,

I'm looking into moving a site from joomla to drupal - however I can't seem to find out how it deals with a news-related site.

Can anyone tell me if Drupal or any of its modules are able to do this kind of site:

I'm considering switching to drupal 5.1

I want to be able to post my mixes just as regular links on entries - ok that's simple and drupal can do that.
But I want to have a download counter on my site. Like which mix has been downloaded the most etc.
Couldn't find any suitable modules. Do you people know of any modules that can do that?

Ok, so I hired this idiot to build a site, and no reflection on EZ publish per say, he stunk at usuing their CMS. But I have to be honest, the EZ cms looks like a crappy tangled mess for Europeans. Hardly any non euro's seem to use the thing. Then again, I know nothing.

So first of all, look at my site:

Part of the site I want to make will be a forum. Using this drupal forum, it's different than other forums I use. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a drupal forum that looks like IPB or PHPBB by chance? I'm specifically looking for replies to be in-line, one after the other, have avatars, signatures, WYSWIG editor, basically be like an Invision Board, etc. Thanks for any help.

Basically.. my problem is on how to manage the dynamic content..

Briefing

1. The company has various packages to offer on things like Mountaineering, Trekking, Related Gear..etecetra.. All of these need management with overview pages and updation pages.
2. The main dynamic variant will be the packages the company has on offer.. These will be periodically updated, pruned, edited etc..This needs some managing
