I couldn't find any other way to do this, so I am writing here.
I am a student at the Faculty of computer science and engineering, and currently I am working on my graduation thesis. Drupal was very interesting to me and besides working with it I have read books and a lot of other tutorials/guides, for almost all aspects of Drupal.
It is great and I love it!
Inspired by everything above, I started working on my graduation thesis titled: "Evolution on Drupal".
I am studying drupal 7 via lynda.com and am getting past the configuration stages. What the Drupal for beginners doesn't get into is installing modules for needs.
I am looking for these types of modules, but when I type them in the drupal page search engine, I don't get good results.
Here are the modules I used when I used wordpress. Jetpack, Askimet, BuddyPress, bbPress, supercache
We've been considering switching from our bloated commercial CMS to Drupal for some time now, but the one thing preventing us from moving to Drupal is the fact that our current CMS is installed on a separate, internal server (protected by a firewall, limited to internal use), and publishes to a separate, outward-facing server. The security benefits to this are obvious.
Is it possible to build a similar scenario as this with Drupal? Something like:
We currently run a Joomla site where we sell E-Learning content (digital products) and books (physical products). The site incorporates an E-Commerce store which is integrated with a Learning Management System (LMS). The courses that are provided access to via the LMS are in SCORM, AICC, HTML5 and video format.
The whole Joomla system is set-up as a multi-tenant environment where (in a nutshell) - it is not a very complex environment:
I'm just starting out as a web dev, and decided to learn Drupal. With the Drupal 8 RC1 release right around the corner I'm wondering if I should just forget about learning Drupal 7 and go straight for Drupal 8 at this point. Of course I could learn more PHP and WordPress first and come back to this question in a month or 2 if that makes more sense.
What is the best way to build a "pay to read" site ? (one acces per node, no subscription)
I found a solution with Druapl Commerce and Content access, but it is not too heavy for that?
