I'm trying to put together a Q&A site were questions can only be seen by people in the same location (say a X miles radius) similar to Hipster.com or Gootip.com
I have next to zero experience with Drupal, which modules should I use? are there any tutorials that could help me with this?
There is no bookmark / 'star it' functionity on the modules/thems/etc.. page, If there is, would be convinient for people to organize their personal lists.
module list filter could not exactly filter out unwanted version of drupal, or filter by different development stage: dev alpha beta etc
Hi, ive been in digital design for about 7 years. I started off at college where I used adobe cs mainly photoshop and dreamweaver, most of my employment has been photoshop based, not dreamweaver.
Ive been building websites with drupal for about 2 years, the majority of this has been just downloading and enabling the modules, with some custom html/css and very little php/module customization.
I think I have quite a good understanding of html and css but know hardly anything about php and sql.
I am thinking on creating new web portal on Drupal. It should be as a usual social net and also provide to upload users pictures, music, videos and some chatting. So if it is possible what kind of modules for Drupal should be used.
I face a difficult choice and would be glad to hear what you think of it. Sorry in advance for the long post.
I will transform the old site of the research institute (in the humanities, with some 20 staff members) I am working with.
We don't have the possibility to hire a programmer or contract the site out to professional developers. I am a scholar in the humanities, I know html/css but have no php nor mysql experience, although I am ready to learn. I have some experience with setting up websites. I will be alone responsible for creating and maintaining our institutional site.
