Looking for an event posting module

I am looking for an event posting module that will allow my members to post their event on my site, but is date controlled so that after the event has passed the calendar will delete it.

Did somebody - anybody - try porting Sesame to D6.x ?

I happen to have a need for googlebot authentication functionality which can be implemented by Sesame drupal module http://drupal.org/project/sesame_access

I am running Drupal 6 however (and who does not :) ) and happen to have a lot of modules already installed for that version, so switching to 5 would be extremely toilsome

I also am merely a hobbyist so doing my own port is out of the question.

Step by step guide creating the site at example "restaurant guide"

Hi! Now I'm faced with a choice joomla and Drupal. joomla has a component "restaurant guide" but it is not flexible. Can I do something similar at Drupal:
I have made site on free hosting:
restaurantsguide.0fees.net - This is an example of what will i whant to see. It is made on joomla 1.5.23 & RestaurantGuide component, but it is not flexible.
Brief step by step instructions would help understand the capabilities of Drupal and make a choice in favor of Drupal.
Maybe there is a guru in Drupal, which can make a brief tutorial?

Google Plus

If anyone else who is on google plus wants to start a drupal circle, post your username here (dont add @gmail). I think it would be cool and useful.

Required Registration and Downloadable PDF's

I've installed Drupal and need to create a very basic simple registration that is required for all users. Once registered, I'd like to give my users access to downloadable PDF's. Is there a simple module to do this or is this already built in to Drupal?
