How can a site member download all his data ( and if possible in a POLA way)
Use cases : when an user wants to leave a site he wants his data, that is, the blogs he posted, pictures he uploaded etc
Use cases 2 : Accustomed to Facebook, Google Plus Takeaway and some other similar services the user, though not leaving, wants to have copies of his data from time to time
For example : How do I download all my data from drupal.org
As we know, every file is over thousands of lines in drupal, the system loads it every time when drupal startup ,
so drupal performed that will be slow for this reason, what do you think this problem, and how to optimize it?
Just started using drupal 7 instead of drupal 6. Like it very much and haven't come across any problem except for this:
Why should I still use CCK? What can CCK do that taxonomy can't?
The site I am making is a rewrite of a site in drupal 6. In drupal 6 I had:
Number (with additional info) -> Type -> Project, where each arrow denotes: has node reference field to. Why wouldn't I do this in taxonomy with drupal 7 and what is a content type still usefull for?
I'm enthusiastic about coding and Drupal. I have been developing websites for a while but I've noticed my passion resides in developing not design. I am still getting the hang of Drupal but i've noticed its probably best if I get involved in a project that I contribute to and learn the ropes along the way.
When did you know when you're ready for "prime time"? Do I just get my feet wet, where do I start exactly?
I'm just wondering from a contracts and commercial point of view how you deal with support for a Drupal site.
How do you bring up the point of - once we launch your site might need updates if modules are found to have security bugs. I don't know how often or when but it may occur. Or the core software may need updated - again not really sure how often.
How do you build this into your price, do you sell a day or so of support straight up or do you advice it may happen and when it does it should be addressed at a cost of X per hour / day?
Could the search functions on the drupal.org website be improved by at least providing the option to search for 'exact phrase' or 'all terms', please?
To illustrate what I mean, I was (still am) looking for a module to send emails to a group of users in Drupal 7. I type 'group email' into the search box and it lists hundreds of items containing the word 'email' and hundreds more containing the word 'group' but very few (if any) containing both terms!
